How much solar and wind power SA needs to avoid Stage 6 power cuts

Despite many different administrations and much scaremongering by surprisingly many people that are still scared of the ANC I think that we can all agree that since 1984 Koeberg has operated rather well and that we’ve neither had a meltdown or any other sort of nuclear incident hat has taken the plant offline indefinitely or made the area surrounding it uninhabitable. So whether it’s the former NP government of the 80s and early 90s or the ANC since nothing has happened in the past 30 years to has it now?

If there was ANC mismanagement at Koeberg wouldn’t it have been glaringly evident closer to 1994 than to today?

I guess even the ANC knows that skilled people in the right places will give you good results. Case and point Koeberg.
Defending the failing to govern cANCer party must be very time consuming, you should really consider taking some time off to see what is really happening in the country, for example there are problems at Koeberg with experienced staff that have left and will not return (even if Brian Dames thinks they will).

The remaining experienced people working at Koeberg are probably due to retire soon with no one to replace them.

Your beloved cANCer party will probably ship in a bunch of useless Cubans to run Koeberg when all the experienced people have retired and/or emigrated.

The problem people is the bunch of thieving, stealing and raping cadres known as the government.
That is it.

You have to know his forum history to understand him. But you're almost correct

Nuclear - When you need (expensive) power 20 years from now.

No, I think we can do without Nuclear, and concentrate on other solutions.
You have to have nuclear in the mix. Renewable power is very unreliable (in some cases in S Africa the dispatch-able power was at 1.5% of rated capacity)

The ANC is not interested in providing power. They are just out to steal as much as they can while in charge.

Was wondering when somebody was going to mention it. SA will not be able to achieve any of it's targets. Never on time, always an excuse, red tape, idiots in the Gov, 3rd world country. The list goes on. O yes, the 2nd Eskom. A fantastic idea.
Agreed, Germans have always been very good at what they do / efficient. Throw in some South African political muscle and you got foundations in the ground that took 10 years to dig at the cost of R200 billion.
