I personally would have to figure out how to use an ATM if I have to use one now. It's been a year or two since I have used one myself. My wife however uses it regularly, she does the day-to-day shopping.

Maybe once in three months or so, by and large for tuck shop money for the kids and some cash for our domestic.

Generally, if you do not EFT or card payments I don't do business with you anymore.

My barber used to be one of those that did not have a card machine, they do now. Before they were the only ones I would go to the ATM for.

Yeah, they are the only ones getting nailed with the cashless things, them and corner beggars. I don't support either.

Few times a year to deposit cash. Got my two Philips oneblades and a bunch of extra blades by cash for cheap from street vendors but they're not so cheap anymore.

Only ever use ATMs if I have to make a cash deposit, which is almost never.

The whole global financial sector is heading towards digital currencies whether it be cards, NFC enabled devices, and further down the line CBDCs and crypto. I can appreciate trying to remain current but in this situation (as South Africans are so "special") the banks have done very little market research and instead are following a global trend. Most of the SA populous relies on cash to get things done. Facts. No printer. What I don't appreciate and this is a favourite game that institutions play with their clients is.... "Guess why". Just say they are not worth the headache BUT we are working with outlets like Shoprite, PnP, etc. to usher in a more convenient cash at checkout option. But nooooo, leave it for us to figure out and more than likely come to an incorrect or untruthful conclusion causing even more uncertainty and doubt. Love that these institutions are designed to serve the people (cough government cough) yet they do not. At all. We are all just pawns in their little game of who can we eff the hardest. Anyhoo. Only dabbled in a single cup of black magic this morning. Me thinks it's time for another. Have a happy day everyone. It should be easy cause we live in a circus. Honk honk
