How people remember their online passwords

Most people have automatic login on their email on their phone which means whoever has access to your phone, has access to you mails. Most logins I forget, usually just require a username and email address to reset it or to get it sent to you. The username would have been sent to your email when you first registered. So all the info should be available to the criminal.

Sites which are important usually requires a cell number as well, like the banks etc. The dude with your phone also have that...if your bank stuff like statements also go to your email then account numbers and adresses are there to be found as well.

Because of the above I dont use my mobile email adress for important stuff. And don't link my phone directly with my work email. Whoever steals my phone will have to steal my laptop too, or have to somehow get access to my work email.

Good luck unlocking my iPhone. Unless you hire the same guy the CIA did, you'll get nowhere.

In this instance, those people claim they don't know how they remember / store their passwords. Not necessarily remembering / knowing the actual passwords

Then LastPass will send a password change request, and the hacker will be sitting with millions of impossible to hack out of date passwords. And I have two-factor authentication anyway. No way to login using only my password.

The real risk when it comes to passwords is reusing them, as a breach in one place can compromise all or many others. LastPass is incredible in this regard as every single password you use is unique.

Quick question...if I have a password manager managing my passwords, how does my device (android phone) log in to my gmail accounts? I'm assuming those passwords aren't available to me in plain text?
