How quickly can you hit your cap?

Thats what I thought , And why only compare against Australia?? Pffft Do China Japan America and Throughout Europe..

Gosh so stewpid , Bottom line is we got f0k all bandwidth!

Exactly - why Australia? I am getting tired of talking about my brother-in-law in London who has a 20MB connection at home and absolutely NO cap. His best download amount in one month to date (did this in Aug this year) - 580 GB. That's right - 580GB in one month!!!!!

We are so ripped off in this country by the money grabbing swines who head up the telecommunications and ISP sectors of business in SA. It sickens me.

I try my hardest not to download anything and our internet is just just for the odd browsing and emails then and we never make it through the 1st week with our 1gig cap

I must say, it's hard to believe there is such an offering as that mentioned in Aus.

The author of this sure it wasn't a 200GB cap? Seems more likely...

Ahhh... 580GB/m. Pity about the weather

Take that 3 gig and split it up into a family house, TRUST me it does not take long to reach your cap. Even with just the lil surfing the web and doing school projects and the email.

Define lots of surfing please, cause to me that seems impossible. And gaming? what games? With 2gigs if u just catch a wiff of a torrent u are capped

BF2 and BF2142 almost every night and lots of MyADSL and other forums and DailyTech and the porn picture and vid clips and some YouTube.

Maybe I use more than 2GB though, its a TelkomInternet account but I don't check and get no e-mails about it...

Precisely. In a typical family of 4, 3GB takes almost no time to 'vanish' !!!!! Even the online games kids play today are bandwidth hogs.

This caps makes you feel like, driving a Ferrari with a 2L petrol tank.

If only all the ISP's were carrying over unused data, you paid for.

30 gb local and 3 gigs cybersmart on night rider...between 30-40gb a month on my painfully slow 384 line...Already capped/purchased more bandwidth...

Pal in UK was trying to get an Ubuntu Virtual Machine up the other day, and I talked him through it..He kept on downloading the wrong bloody iso! But no worries, it took 10 mins to download each time. Makes me jealous!

I hate constantly having to stare at my tank...When I drive, I have to see if I will make it to my location. If I surf, I constantly have to check that I don't overuse my cap.Is there anything one can do in this country where you don't have to constantly look at a meter/over your shoulder?!

*pffft*

Can the OECD run the same research for the top 5 economies in Africa, or yes take it further, the top 5/10 developing countries in the world?
