How long before we are able to afford broadband in South Africa? Who can answer that question.

You've seen those movies where "It was after the 4th world war...",and everything is barren, and guys drive around in stock cars and fight over water and fuel. Well thats probably when.

It'll become "affordable" about 2 years after it's been replaced by something 10 times better.

Of course...However the new Tech will be just as expensive *sigh* Cant win.

I think I am just going to move out of the country and hate South Africa for the rest of my life.

That is an option. A lot of people really do move out of the country after school, and am I, but I doubt because of Telkom.... :D

There is a lot more to life than the internet! yes sure, it would be wonderful to have the same speeds and prices as other countries when it comes to broadband - but trust me on this one... this is the best country in the world to live in. Im not to sure about people living inland, but what I have just mentioned to you, is the concensus of most coastal people.

Yeah...moving out the country just because you want cheap broadband is a bit sad.

When will we see cheap broadband? I'd hazard a guess of between 2-3 years.
