Someone please tell me how do i update firefox from version 2.0.0.7 to 2.0.0.8 without getting the full 2.0.0.8 installation.
In xp it just updated now but i see in vista it does not ask me anything.
Is there a tab to say update now or what,All i see is update greyed out.

I didn't even know there was an update, anyways I just updated now after seeing this post. Help > Check for Updates

Apparently there are some problems with 2.0.0.8 and Vista, so perhaps they aren't letting you upgrade on Vista?

Er, then again a friend of mine's Vista install just upgraded to 2.0.0.8 this morning, so nevermind.

I did a search and found that there is also a problem with ubuntu. So it's probably just vista & ubuntu users with the prob

Hmm we should have a poll where everyone's updated fine, and DBM can be the only person who's FF didn't update.

btw, I thought you weren't using FF on Vista, did you finally fix that? You might also want to check that your FF didn't just update automatically without you noticing?

ff is not fixed in vista,This is an attempt to try the update and see if ff.exe will be fixed.
It started up so i am trying to update before it starts getting messy again.

I'm on vista and the upgrade went okay on friday (i think). But now i can't install any extensions - wow the internet looks different when you can see the ads .

If I open the Add-ons windows there is a list of the adds-on that I'd previoously installed, all of them saying they'll be installed when ff is restarted. I've restarted a couple of times and still nothing.

Mozilla warned that certain add-ons will not work with the new version yet and that there are still certain errors within the update itself waiting to be sorted out.
