What about when your TV died many years ago and you don't have it anymore... You don't have any other device or TV because uncapped internet changed all that.
The SABC know how to make money there is internal discussions if you have a cellphone or a computer you will have to pay TV Licence

We have chucked away three 72cm TVs the last 4 yrs yet we still "own" them. Looking forward to the day when SABC inspector wants to see our 12 dozen sets at the rate we are going.
I remember being told that I was suppose to take my TVs to a repair place and get a quote declaring the 100% unit dead to get it off our name.
Yip - it was a hassle - but after the affidavit - I scanned it and emailed it to every sabc.co.za email address I could find

I had a rather pleasant experience. When myself and the missus got together she had a tv license and so did I. She stopped paying after 2 years and we submitted the docs to have hers cancelled and stated she has paid the last 2 years but not needed to. They credited my account with her payments so we didn't pay for 2 years.
