How to connect to TV

I got the right cables they assure me but heavens i cant get any picture on my tele only sound! any ideas.

Is there something i should change on my Graphics card to view on my tele?

Well i got it working thanks Gents, just trying to figure out how to get back half the screen that my Tele dont wanna show! lOl

Could it be my resolutions?

What card & what OS?

right click desktop --> properties --> settings--> advanced --> (your graphics card name) --> look for monitor setup or multiple monitor, varies on OS & card

LoL i got the thing working but it maxes to 1024X768 only anything after that stats loosing picture.

Ie 1440x900 what im running currently cuts of a quarter of my page..

My monitor is BenQ 19inch wide screen so the resolution i run is 1440x900, so when i plug my Tele in to my card i have to drop the resolution to 1024 to view it correctly.
