Charlton Heston?
I enjoyed it for the most part. It's very 'home-cooking' orientated and less science. Obviously there is some science, like lining up of proteins of cheese and why they have different melting points, but overall it is more accessible for basic cooks than some of his other shows...

I'm sorry but it is clear to me that you obviously know that it's not 'How To Cook Like Charlton Heston'.
It doesn't need context because most people who want to watch this show will know which Heston I am referring to and those that don't can just look it up very easily.
In fact, if I put 'Heston' into Google, the first link is a Wikipedia article on Heston Blumenthal.

His show is interesting, but if you want to watch a cooking show where you actually learn how to fdcking cook properly then watch Gordon Ramsay.
I've tried around 20 of his recipes and all turned out well.

I like watching the cooking shows for entertainment but generally if I want to learn something about what I should be doing in the kitchen I go on the internet.
TV is a great way to get ideas for cooking though, especially since you can see what they are doing.

Not true. For the average person, the name Heston would be more synonymous with Charlton Heston than Heston Blumenthal. Please stop trying to fight with me.

Heston uses some methods that I'd rather not try at home.
I think he cooked scrambled eggs in dry ice once.
He had once episode where he showed how to cook chicken which was goos, and also one where he cooked steak in an oven for 2 days or something.
I tend to like to have my cooking done in under 30 minutes.
Jamie's 30 minute meals and his 15 minute ones are also pretty good.
Nigella I enjoy watching, but her recipes don't work out well for me.
Notice I mentioned 'people who want to watch this show'. It's REALLY clear to ANYONE that a show on BBC entertainment about cooking is most probably not going to be about Charlton Heston.

How do you know who wants to watch the show? Obviously Charlton Heston fans would want to watch it had it been about cooking like Charlton Heston. No? Let's no derail this thread further. I hope OPs won't be so ambiguous in future.

I like Heston because he has this obsession with making simple things perfectly.

If he named it "How to ride a chariot like Heston", or How to shoot something like Heston", he's probably mean Charlton.
