Have you got a Windows 7 registration key?

And um, any reason why you aren't rather upgrading to Windows 10?

It for my daughters laptop, she is busy with a course and the training software wont install under Win 8. It requires Win 7. I recently upgraded my desk top to Win 10, and no, I dont have a reg key.

I don't see how that is possible.
Re-install?

YEah will have to reinstall, any idea where I can download an ISO from?

You can google for an ISO or someone can post a link here. However if you don't have a registration key then you are screwed. Did you try install it using compatibility mode in 8.1? Can't you contact the people who are giving the course? To force people to use Windows 7 is unthinkable when so many people are upgrading to Windows 10 at the moment.

However I still think it should be possible to get the training stuff working without going to such extreme measures. Plus there's the registration key problem.

I have another desktop at home with Win 7 Ultimate, I will run Magic Jellybean key finder to get that Reg Key and re-install.

Just curious, did you try installing it with Win 7 compatibility settings?

I'd rather not name the place as it is in house training, and the company only recently rolled out Win 7. She is using her personal laptop for training, so she will have to format and install Win 7.

If I remember correctly, some laptops came with a downgrade license to Windows 7.

Ah okay. Well I hope you come right. :)
