Hi guys,

I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and I would like to connect it to my Wi-Fi network from my router using its MAC Address. My Network uses MAC Address filtering (only allow the ones on my allow list).

However, I don't know how to find the MAC Address of my Nokia Handset. Is there an app or something that I must download to find my MAC?

Is there any way I can find the MAC Address of my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic?

Thanks

Not 100% sure but if all else fails then disabling the Filtering on ur wifi temporarily and let ur Nokia connect, and then you should see its MAC address registered on your WIFI Acess point...

If this is too much of a hassle for you, simply back up ur config from the access point (most support this these days), switch filtering off and then make a note of the MAC addy, and put filtering back on by restoring the config file.

I've seen the MAC addy visible on some hand sets on the box where the Serial/Product/IMEI numbers are.

Take off Mac blocking, allow DHCP to assign IP, look in DHCP table for MAC address.

Set you router to allow all wi-fi connections.

Connect phone to wi-fi and check in your routers control panel if there is a page listing connected devices.

Identify and record the MAC address.

Re-set your wi-fi to only connect via MAC address and enter the MAC Address recorded earlier.
