EDIT: Jokes aside, this is a good article :)

Number 10:- is is drizzling outside.
Mine every time there is thunder (not even lightening goes down) and almost every time it rains it goes down.

Everything is fine on my side.

My problem is Telkom and their freaking congested exchanges.

God there are some dumb comments for the news article, suffer.

Called them after trying all possible tests and after trying 4 different routers , and all the Techie could tell me was to buy a Huawei modem because they have Huawei equipment in the MSANs :wtf: . I need an opinion here should i really buy a 5th modem and try again, seeing so far i have tried 2 X Netgears, 1X Airlive and 1 X Zyxel VDSL capable modem and they have intermittently disconnect (sometimes 300 times in a day) and battle to sync

No. Tell him to do his job or to give you his Ops Manager's name and telephone number.

No. You should not buy a huawei router because the MSAN has huawei equipment in it...

Going to log a new fault and this time will lock him up in the yard until i'm sorted :p

Surely that is the case since the equipment is manufactured according to set standards and hardware from different manufacturers is compatible. Telkom and it's technicians can be a pain to deal with, my line is only good for downloads as they eventually complete despite the disconnects but anything real time i'm having to use my backup LTE. It's a pain

The helpdesks always try to put the ball back in your court but when you send them the trace routes they are suddenly silent.

As good as the article is, it may be great to put together a complementary article on how to hold Telkom and the ISP accountable
