Hey there again!

I just want to know if there is a way to FTP over a remote connection?

I thought of forwarding the FTP port on my ADSL router that also links with my DynDNS account (FTP port is 21 I suppose). And from there I use my DynDNS host name to transfer files.

What I actually want to do is also to make a map drive on my home PC from my office PC (HOME PC --> Z:\>SERVER C:\* <-----> OFFICE SERVER)

If there is another way to do that, can you please let me know. (Im using a remote desktop connection and its working more than fine!)

Thanx!

If you RDP into your home machine, you can tell the client to map your local drives - then you can just drag and drop files.

How do I Map a network over a remote desktop connection so that I can have a "map drive on my local machine" and how do I copy, move, etc. files to that map drive?????????

Start>Run>MSTSC>Local Resources>Local Devices and select Disk Drives.
You'll then be able to copy and paste from your Remote PC to ur Local PC.

Make sure you have TCP port 3389 open to your computer, and you have remote desktop sharing enabled.

Then, from your work:

Start...run..."mstsc <enter>"

Click options

Under local devices click "disk drives".

Now, when you open explorer, you'll see your work drives within your remote desktop session. You can simply drag and drop files.
