My previous relationship of 4 years ended a couple of months ago, and now I am ready to face the music yet again. But the problem is, I have been out of the "game" for so long - actually, I never was in the "game" - that I don't know how to approach girls (I know, I am pathetic).
My question to all the guys are, how do you approach a girl? What do you do to get them interested in you?
And for the girls, what do we have to do to impress you, and get at least your number?

That may get you a slap in the face or a 1 night stand but not as stellenbosch student wants, a relationship :D

OMG, i've been in the netherlands for not all to long, and the girls here are, fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeee, they are... fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinee.... :D :D :D
 
Trying to impress them to get their number is the worst thing you can do, they'll see right through it and no longer regard you as a challenge.

I'm not really qualified to give you expert advise, but I can tell you what works for me. The first thing is actually plucking up the courage to talk to her. This is not something that you should think about, you need to get to a point where you're no longer scared of going up to a girl. You can only do this by practising (a lot), and learning to deal with rejection because it will happen a lot.

The next thing is to break the ice and immediately gain her attention. I can't tell you how out in the open, because I don't want to give away my game (both to the women and the competition), however I don't mind discussing this through p.m. Once you get them talking, then you're in and the next move is up to you.
 
Its easier to approach a girl if you imagine the girls as they were guys (no not eww :P)

Conversations and stuff goes smoothly
 
Hey I have nothing against Pooky so I won't join in; I'll rather defend the little bugger. :D He told me LazyDanny gave him free hosting.
 
Start SMS'ing a nice girl from a nearby beautician place. Get her interested and arrange a blind date.

Worked for me :D :)
