I've just built my first PC, and here is what I got:

Core i5 3570K
MSI Z77A-G43 MOTHERBOARD
Kingston 8GB (2x 4GB), DDR3-1600MHz RAM
Gigabyte AMD Radeon 7850, 2GB 256BIT GDDR5 OC Edition
Seagate 1Tb HDD 7200rpm

What I would like to know, is if I should get more RAM (will it make a difference in speed), or should I look into
overclocking my system?

I runs GREAT as it is, but we can always do with some more... :D

+1 to what Hereticangel said.

Get a 120-128GB SSD if you're running Windows. I'd recommend reinstalling Windows on it, but you can do it without formatting/reinstalling too.

Lastly, what PSU and CPU cooler do you have an roughly how much RAM do you typically use?

Hi there,
SSD is a good way to improve performance.
8GB is likely to be more than good enough for you.

What are you intending to use it for?

def don't need more ram but like everyone else said an SSD would be your first goto

Thank you everyone for replying.

Would a 64Gb SSD be enough to install Windows 7 on, and then everything else on my HDD?

A 60GB SSD would be enough for Windows 7, but the whole point of it is to install your applications and frequently used data on it too.
If you have a Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge motherboard with Intel SRT support, you could use a smaller SSD as a cache drive.

In my opinion you should at the very least get a 120GB SSD if you're running Windows 7 with a bunch of applications.
