How to get YouTube Premium

Hi all
My stepmother would like to watch YT Premium to get away from ads. She's not tech savvy and definitely doesn't want to use a credit card to sign up.

Can one buy Google Play Store vouchers locally? Is there a difference between Play Store and Play vouchers?

How does she watch YouTube at present? Is it on a Windows 10 or 11 PC / Laptop, a mobile device (Android or Apple), a Smart TV using either a proprietary OS, Android TV / Google TV), or an Android TV / Google TV streaming box?

If it is via a Windows PC or Laptop, then you can utilise a browser extension called 'Enhancer for YouTube' to remove ads & also customise the interface as well.

Thanks for the helpful comments, we got her smartTV working with Google Play card from PnP and it should be simple enough to top up every other month (minimum card is R150) now that it's been set up.
 
Get her a Tymebank Card and then you keep it topped up for her. It's that simple.

I have a dedicated Tymebank Account used only for Google Family, if anyone in the family would like to buy an app or do anything which cost money they first have to send money to the Tymebank account as you are not able to disable transactions from Family members.
 
Yeah, got burnt buy Facebook/Meta, was lazy and left my CC on payments. They took an extra amount a month after I already paid for an advert. Still trying to figure out why they did that :mad:

Seems like a good idea to have a dedicated card/account for stuff like this.

Be a good boy and get it for yourself using your own CC and then add her to your plan. Browny points and YTP for yourself is a win win.
