If you aren't being seriously ripped off it's probably a pirated DVD.

I'm amazed people still buy DVD's. The kind of people who still buy DVD's probably don't care if they are fake or not.
The easiest way to tell is that legit DVD's are usually full of stupid adverts telling you how bad pirating is and are locked somehow to prevent your player from skipping ahead.

All I know is those ads really, really annoyed me, especially that "you wouldn't steal a car" one..For PC in the early days one had to run a second program to achieve this, such the Remote Selector, which forced PowerDVD and WinDVD to ignore these things![]()

I still have a big game collection stored away, old to new mediums. I’m a National Geographic collector, everything DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray, which is too big to hog on my storage drives anyway.
