How to jailbreak an IPad 3

Just wanted to know what the easiest and best way to jailbreak the iPad. Is there only 1 jailbreak or multiple software that you can use and which is the latest currently.

Edit: I think your only chance was if you had previously saved blobs for an A4 device, I believe the iPad 3 is A5 CPU

The latest iOS never has a JB. It takes several months for it to be cracked.

I kept my iPhone and iPad on 5.x and JB's are readily available.

There are different groups trying to crack it and the JB that matches your version can be from different groups.

Google your version and "jailbreak" ...

Sorry, that was a bit cryptic. I'm a bit wary of forum rules regarding linking to JB sites, so have a look at iClarified for some more info. As per sand_man, I think you're out of luck.

Thanks sand_man, but how do i go back to version 6.1.2 first and then jailbreak it. Could you also tell me which jailbreak to use for the Ipad 3. Is there only 1 or multiple ones available?

You cannot downgrade an iPad 3.

Evasi0n is the jailbreak you want on 6.0/.01/.02/.12 - iPhone 4/4s/5, iPad 2/3

If you on 6.1.3/4 then redsn0w is the tool you would use but only available as a tethered jailbreak and only on iPad2 and iPhone 4!!!

He answered your question exactly, you cannot downgrade the ipad3. If you were running 6.1.2 or lower you would be able to do it with Evasi0n but you arent, so you are unable to jailbreak at all.

You're currently snookered.

Sit tight and wait for iOS 7, update and then hold your breath for the jailbreak.

Whilst you're waiting, have a look around the relevant websites to get an understanding of how and why to do it.

You cannot choose which software version to run. Apple by default will always force users to use the latest official firmware version, in your case 6.1.3.

There are jailbreak tools available to circumnavigate Apple's approach. Tools which utilize blobs/shsh which is the electronic signature Apple uses to tie you into using the latest firmware version. Unfortunately these tools are redundant on all iDevices using A5 processors, your iPad 3 being one of them.
