Hi guys. I manage to pair my Motorola Defy on Linux Mint 12. On my phone it shows as " Paird, but not connected". I go into my bluetooth settings on laptop and it shows there connection as off...but cant turn it on. It is greyed out. You guys have any ideas? Did a google search but did not come up with anything.

Don't you usually need to setup a PIN for bluetooth?

What happens is that it does it automatically. When I say pair on my phone...it comes up with a message saying "does pin ####### match?" and then a message pops up on my laptop with the same thing. Click ok on both and then it pairs up....but the connection is switched off for some reason.

nope...does not work. :-( Not a train smash...can use the usb cable to transfer files. Just dont like it when I cant get something to work.

Have a similar problem with my wifes Defy and my friends Atrix. It's easy to pair with these Motorola devices, but to send stuff over is a problem. I have a HTC Desire HD and can connect to any other phone and send stuff via bluetooth, but the 2 Motorola devices, no.

Strange. Android is android is it not?

yeah, thats what I said to them, but seems there is a difference in something, maybe hardware driver or brand specific software or something. Maybe there is a nick or a trick to it. Hope they sort it out, want to get myself a Motorola end of this year.
