Its true... thats why I got a month by month contract... I heard rumours of only in 2010 with regards to WiMax... but rumours are as dangerous blowing up space shuttles...

The only thing that rules about Sentech is the no cap... but in the last few months I was on the beast I couldnt even reach 3GB even if I tried (international)... so yeah... each to their own!!! Goodluck and have fun!

When we were on 128 *cough* we were averaging just over 3GB per *week*, UL and DL (about 60% DL). We're doing somewhat more on 256, but I'm not sure exactly how much more, since I have no easy way of measuring it on a router.
 
dbnnet, just to give you an idea (and being a previous 512k mywi user) i can actually stream radio internationally now WITHOUT it buffering every minute or so. So in that respect, iburst rocks.

I'm patiently waiting to see how it preforms capped, and what their pricing is.
 
And to offset & balance that @ the other end of the spectrum where I am landed, I cannot even get 5fm to stream locally without continual buffering...

Lets put it like this. "Broadband" in South Africa is about 10yrs behind the rest of the world.
Iburst is last years technology, so in SA terms it could be seen as light years ahead. Thanks to our forward thinking policy makers we are to be the dumping ground of old technology.
 
YAY! I'm baaaaack!! LOL, hubby arrived at broadband zone this morning, place was full of police and bullet holes. "Apparently" there was a robbery. I think it was more likely a disgruntled sentech user :P
Broadband zone at Menlyn will be open from this weekend onwards over weekends...YAY!
