Hi all

I have recently moved my router to another part of the room and now I find that the Telekom line that comes in to the house that has the small port for the telephone jack is too short. Please could you suggest ways I could make the line longer and then put the jack box back

Thanks in advance

Don't mess with that jack.

Go buy yourself an extension cable.

i use standard cat 5e cable to lengthen the cable, but put a RJ11 piece on each end. dont mess with the jack if you dont know what you are doing and you will also loose quality when joining cable which will cause DSL breakdown and telkom will charge you when you call them out as they can see it is not their cable

You'll need a RJ11 cable like this:

Game, makro, PC shops, etc... will stock it.
