How to mount floppy disks

Here is the thing, I don't have a floppy drive installed on my computer. Now the other day I got hold of a piece of software that I need to install. However when I click on it it first wants to write the files to a floppy disk.

What do I do?

back in the day (DOS days) you could map folders as drives. the command might have actually been called something other than map. but in any event you would tell DOS that c:\folder was to be mapped as A:

Unfortunately I can't remember the exact command and there is the possibility that it was made defunct. Hopefully this gives you an idea of what to search for.

99.999% chance the program was made using winimage.

so if you download and install winimage you will be able to extract the files from the exe to wherever you want
