How to pick a lock

Hmm what he does not tell you is a good lock has mushroom pins that make it harder to pick .

OOOps, don't tell too many people how easy it is to open well known brands of locks !!!

Mind you, they may come to my company for a better product.....

I spent hours watching the bosnianbill YouTube videos, and I still suck at picking locks.

Some of those videos are edited I believe......been 40 years in the business with a good quality set of picks and still struggle.

It helps a lot when the lock is clasped in place with a vice. Here is LockPickingLawyer picking an 'highly marketed' lock,

Mybb is on a roll with their How To Crime series...

Anybody who wants to commit this sort of crime can just go onto Google or Youtube and find out how to pick locks, and I'm sure they do. Warning the public and showing them how easy it is and how they shouldn't be so complacent is a great public service.

In any case, I'm willing to bet that in the vast majority of burglaries the burglars just crowbar their way through a vulnerable lock and door.

Best way to learn to pick is get a bird barrel or similar and any other locks laying around and while you watch TV practice .
I have only ever used the torsion bar and the half round , but do not buy the cheap shyt from China it bends get good spring steel set that does not bend or break .
When you first start you may not think you will be able to pick but stick at it practice makes good .

Universal lock picking tools are a drill and a grinder.

Work on most doors and locks.

Locks are a crime barrier. It is a security measure to repel criminals (and other misbehaviours). A good lock should be able to last about 15-20 minutes under destructive ‘entry’ techniques. In many cases the criminal will at least require a diamond bladed hacksaw.
