At work, I have 2 LCD and 1 build-in 64MB Video (1 Port).
Any solution to put 2 LCDs working together?

I found there's a USB 2.0 to SVGA Adapter at Frontier-Electronics which enables you to connect secondary monitor.
The price was R558 incl.

what kind of video card is it? just wondering coz you will need video drivers which support dual display to make use of the two LCD's. Or else pickup a cheap FX5200 which has two video outputs and connect the screens to it.

Hi Desraid

A cheap PCI graphics card might be the best solution...

it has VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP.

Easiest option is to just go get a new card, even a cheapie ati will do it!!

my old 7500 does it!

as suggested by other posters, get another card if you can as i doubt the S3 drivers support proper multiple displays. :)

Try buy one from your work, im sure the IT dept will have spares.

If you do things like gaming etc however i wouldnt suggest it.

I asked IT dept and they do not have any spares.
Then I went to my cousin and got GeForce2 MX400.

Now I have one more problem.
When I plug in the GeForce card onto AGP slot, it overrides the onboard video.
Thus I only see 1 video controller on my Windows.

This machine is P4-3.0 Ghz HT and uses Asrock Motherboard with AMI BIOS installed.
From the BIOS I can't find any switches about enabling/disabling onboard video.

I almost gave up on this. :)

The onboard VGA card will always get disabled if an AGP card is inserted as well.

Doesnt your IT Dept have two old Matrox PCI cards lying around? They do work in conjuction with their drivers, which will allow you to use the dual LCD's.

how much does an crappy fx5200 cost? should be like R500 or so anyhow, plus you can play games on it! same as that usb move...

VJ-F55256 GeForce FX5500 - 256mb NV33-AD-256C 256mb GeForce FX5500, 270Mhz Core, TV Out / D-Sub 15 Pin / S-Video / AGP 8x R425

thats a good price i think :)

they don't. :(

eish... then i suppose you better consider eye_suc's FX5200 price tag for the AGP video card. ;)

that's good price, but the problem is, it's for my work PC and my company won't approve for that expense.
i think i should return this additional lcd monitor to it dept. T.T
