how to remove this worm

http://live.sysinternals.com and download procexp.exe, then head over to Mark's blog (the creator of sysinternals) and have a look at how to hunt malware.

Once you get the swing of the sysinternals suite you can kill viruses quicker then your AV can scan (unless the virus hides from procexp.exe and procmon.exe

Hi all,

trying to figure out why microsoft security essentials cant remove this worm

Because Microsoft Security Essentials is rubbish.

and Security Essentials is poop btw, avg will even do a better job...

Strange how you recommend all those excellent tools then recommend possibly the worst anti-virus available right now.

+1 for ESET Anti-virus/Smart Security what ever floats your boat, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Google Chrome, Adblock Plus, don't forget to disable on mybroadband.

+1 on this method:

turn off restore points, delete existing restore points.
run
adwcleaner
malwarebytes
tdsskiller as admin
install eset smart security, (trial if you don't have it, is avail from their site.) trial normally valid for about 30 days.

And after all that only after a fresh restart do you turn restore points on again.

whitch is the best to use? AVG or avast,

also Im using hiren 15, dont know if theirs an updated version someplace.......

its 15.2

buy eset, ive seen the least amount of infected machines when using them. kaspersky lately is letting things through with the average user, warez that slip in with app installations.

and no, there are much worse things than avg you fools, like SE! comparing infected machines and the AV installed, they are far from the bottom. the default install is not enough, advanced settings need to be changed before it does anything useful.
