Hi there clever ouens! How do I sell a car...fast! Like quick, vinnig, bolt, lightning?

Other than,

1)less 50% crap sales
2)throw in my wife and kids and house as part of the deal
3)give sexual favours as part of the deal....

So, how do I do it, I'd realy just like to settle my owing amount, settlement...about 70k...
I drive an Alfa 147 2.0 TS lusso - 95000km's with new engine at 50 000kms(previous owner hit sump...yada yada yada) new clutch last November, new wheels and tyres, all cambelt services done, full 100 000km service done 2 months ago, FSH, Full House, H&R suspension, GTA headlights, waranty till Feb 2011...lots more...

How do I sell this car to people who don't look at Alfa's, coz honestly speaking...only Alfa ppl buy Alfas...sad really...

Had the car for sale plenty times but potential buyers wanted me to go down with price or didn't get finance or just pulled out of the deal...is it the engine replacement? The suspension?Or just coz its an Alfa?

anyway, how do I sellzzz it fastah?
:D

Maybe don't mention the new engine, clutch... in the ad? A car at 95K kms shouldn't have seen that much abuse.

Ok the clutch was abuse...coz I ripped it! The engine was the previous owner hitting the sump...and drove on until th engine eventualy seized...all papers and proof of rebuild is supplied. But what's worse, going to check a car, and then coming there, finding out it has a replaced engine? I kind of go for cars with replaced engines...its deceptive to not mention it in ad don't you think

First thing first, get an AA check done. Most consumers consider this as the benchmark for quality or the condition the car is in. That will help...

Wow! Too much burnouts?? :D
(on a serious note - I will see this as a indication of how the car was diven.... ie not good!)

1) 95% of people (myself included) will not consider a car that has been rebuilt - especially not for daily commute (if its a second or project car then maybe).
2) Fixing an engine on a blown 1.3 golf is one thing - Alfa is a different ballgame. Even with paperwork (unless its been done by Alfa) won't make me more comfortable unless I know the workshop personally - heard way too much horror stories about engine rebuilds...
3) Ask yourself: buy car with rebuild engine, or add R5k to the pot and buy car with no problem history???

Sorry bud - seems like your only real option is to drop the price - or negotiate for trade-in on another car...

trade - in was considered...did I tell ya'll about the GTA I almost bought with rebuilt engine that had water in the intake? LOL...I've lowered the price by 10k!

Nah that's the problem with most people, they assume an Alfa is complicated...it follows the same principle as normal combustion engine lol.

There was only a 156 2.0 ts lusso, lusso not released in 147. If it is a 3 door trade is 59400 if 5 door 60400 this is on a normal 147 ts. Easiest way is a dealer no easy private sale.

Yes and no - pre year orders came in 156, from 04 147 lusso was available with things like dual climate, parking sensor etc...all factory options in one car!...this 147 is Lusso from factory with off white leather you only get in 156 in the car!!! On books too! Thus it be special! the only 147 with this leather colour in the CONTRY!

Yup I thought so too - but the price and availability of parts seems to make a different story :-)

Pics of the wife would help. (well I presume they would help, but maybe not)

LOL I've got that revelation a few weeks ago...I forgot, totally forgot about the resale of Alfa's! LMAO! I think I'll take the plunge and sell the car at a loss...like way loss...R65k!

Spoke to wifey and we agreed on this...will just have to contact my finance house tomorrow to find out if I can pay the balance or something...damn.
