How to sell a car...FAST!

Nope...Me no have insurance...tried again today...read the insurance thread to see what hapenend...sheisters.
 
Driving on th roads without insurance - you should be locked up and the key thrown away. Just because you are an idiot doesn't give you the right to destroy other peoples lives. W@nker.

You obviously don't see the importance of having insurance on your car. It's not there just to cover you in the event of an accident or theft, think about others will you :rolleyes:
The sooner insurance becomes compulsory here, the better

You assume I'm a lunatic driving around just narrowly missing people for fun? Grow up pls...I've stated my reasons for not having insurance, numerous times I've tried to get insurance, go search the threads, and numerous times I've got it and then they try to rape me just like they are raping you now...and then I canceled it!

Ehem steve...for your info 65% of drivers on SA roads don't have insurance! Coz ppl simply will not accept the high payments.

Ok, lemme rather stop and not go on...

I don't have insurance coz I'm not going to pay more than R1000 for what if's, if shyte hits the fan...I'll pay the bank their money, simple.
 
I think you're the ignorant one - one day you'll be in a situation where you need at least 3rd party insurance, and you'll be screwed, and that 900k 'net worth' of yours will be spend on someone else's medical bills and car.

Who said anything about you being a lunatic driver? You do realise there are more than one factor that could put you in the wrong, without you being a lunatic driver. If anyone without insurance ever drove into me - I'd have a field day taking them to the cleaners.

As SlinkyMike said- you've dug yourself a nice little hole here. How many "I told you so"s have you received?? I'd feel a little sorry for the average Joe were he to be in the same situation- for you , however, I'm having a laugh.

Make your loss, feel the pain, learn your lesson. Buy another car, not Alfa. Change forum name and turn over a new leaf. Best solution for all of us.

ALFAHOLIC, please come back and talk to us once you have written your car off and have to pay for the Ferrari that you managed to collect in the process...plus the driver's hospital bills.

It is just plain idiotic to drive around without insurance and you know it.
 
BTW - we all know we're being shafted by insurance companies, much like SARS, but we're not stupid enough to try our luck without it.... much like trying not to pay SARS, one day it'll bite you.

No one said you need comprehensive insurance, but 3rd party is a must, and should be made a legal requirement.

Hhhmmmm, here's the golder questions, how many of you have actaully claimed in the last year? Have you written a car off? Have you crashed into someone else? All these IF's...have they actually happened to you clever guys?

Reason for selling - plenty...

With insurance the monthly payment will be R3900...that's WAAAY too much for a 2003 147, oh hell no!
Want car with 4 doors/not realy, just want new car, 4 doors is the eye blind.

I'd rather pay 4200 p/m for a 3.2 GT incl insurance(quote I got 3 weeks ago when I was gonig to buy a GT - but could not get the car sold) than pay 3900p/m for a 147...no no no, its like paying 3000p/m for a VW velocity + insurance...yes, I know ppl who do this...

Um - yes, I was involved in an accident in 2007 - I wrote off a Merc that cut a sharp corner on my side of the road, I tapped the driver side and they drove into a tree and wrote of their car, according to the findings, I was in the wrong for going to fast considering the road conditions, without insurance I would have been liable for her car (+- R300,000), as well as who knows what... but don't worry maybe it won't happen to you because Alfa's arn't on the road that often :)

You're such a cool rebel not following the norm - should've known when you bought an Alfa. Just keep it out of my way on the roads.

How much is the GT without insurance?

Why not get the GT, not take insurance, and you will most probably pay the same or a bit more then you currently paying on the 147?
 
Well I guess that transaction was lot faster than having to bother with small details like payment...
 
LOL did you guys check out that thread? LOL...look, No Xrapidx...I'm no rebel...if anything, I can afford to pay it, but won't. Wife won't let me, and i won't let myself...go read that thread...the GT's insurance is like 400pm guaranteed...how the F is a sportscar like a GT less than the slowpoke 147???THUS...I'm extremely frustrated by the insurance industry...
 
The only way you are going to be free of that albatross within the next 100 years is if you win the lottery. EDIT: I guess he did win the lottery. It just became someone else's problem.
