I want to set up an ATA with my existing TP Link TD-W8968 router. Not having done this before I thought maybe plug and play but nothing happens ...
The ATA IP Address is 192.168.10.1. I gather this address has to be read by the DHCP in the router but I see that the range of IP addresses never reaches this value because of the start and end IP address in the configuration screen never go above 192.168.1....
Can anybody give any idea on how I setup the ATA ?

1. Depends on which brand ATA it is, you should be able to just statically assign a IP in the ATA's range and connect directly to it eg.
IP: 192.168.10.2
Subnet 255.255.255.0 (most likely but not guaranteed)
Gateway not needed
2. Then you should be able to open up your browser and connect to http://192.168.10.1
3. Default username and pass is normally along the lines of U: admin P: admin etc. (This info and the previous should be in the manual)
4. Then just change the ATA's IP to something in your IP range eg: 192.168.1.250
5. You will also need to add NAT/Port forwarding for the ATA on your router: Port 5060 - 5061 UDP as well as the additional range needed by your SIP provider eg: 10000-10100 UDP
6. It is advisable to only allow these port forwards from your SIP providers VOIP IP range, as you do not want to open yourself up to all kinds of attacks.
7. Enter the details provided by your SIP provider and you should be able to establish a connection

Let me know if you manage to get it working?
