Hi Everyone,
I have looked in here for post's on how to do this but have not found anything. I connect directly to a
only metaverse and at times the latency is real bad. Read on the net about the unrestricted APN and applied to Vodacom. I was called and told it had been activated. I called 155 to ask how to setup the VMC and was told by the operator its my problem as Vodacom do not support that function.

I am able to create a new connection and replace the "internet" APN with unrestricted but it wont connect is there something i am missing?

VMC version : 9.4.8.22167 with a K3565 modem.

I am trying to get a little better latency and dont know if this is the right way of doing it, I connect directly to a server located in San Fransisco,

Any Help would be much appreciated

Thanks Everyone.

Unrestricted APN is not going to give you better latency. It's intended for customers who need to bypass Vodacom firewall to allow unsolicited inbound connections. International traffic is a bit of a mess at the moment everywhere. Perhaps when Seacom is fixed things will get better.

Perhaps PM me or VD your 3G cell number that is being used in the device and we can have a look and see if the unrestricted apn is in fact active. But like morkhans said, the unrestricted apn most likely wont give you better latency etc.
