I know Firefox has a feature that asks you if you wan to close it if you have multiple tabs open and click the X.

But Opera is my main browser and every know and then I accidently click the main window X instead of the tab X. This gets irratating when you have like 10 tabs or somethinbg open.

Ideas?

Why not just make it open with all your tabs from your last session open?

Agreed, thats the best option. You can also enable exit confirmation under preferences >> advanced >>> browsing

You could also get into the habit of using a mouse-gesture to close tabs. I use Right-Click + Up.

But yeah, setting it to restore previous tabs on start-up will sort out your issue.

Didn't think of that. (restoring tabs) The only time I generally use that is when I have a crash or power outage or something, and then it doesn't always save them properly.

The mouse gestures thing really annoys me actually, so I'll just try the first suggestion and exit confirmation.

dont want to sound like a linux boy, but you should really use firefox

just so much better i think

no what matter what goes wrong with my pc, firefox always resumes from where i left

+1 for Opera.
I also close window by mistake sometimes and also find best solution is to restore last sessions. All, or most, of the data should be in your cache anyways.

Is that not the default option when you install Opera?

Or maybe new versions just import settings from the older versions, because mine has always done that without me having to change any settings:).

I must usre Opera as primary browser for its display only cached images setting. That way it loads no images on websites, only ones that I right click > reload image on. I'm very concerned about saving bandwidth :D

Firefox, you can set to show no images, but you can't just right click > reload the image to display it on the current page. Only right click > display image, which loads the image up on a seperate page, pretty useless in a lot of situations. That's AFAIK.
