Where does one store eggs for normal day to day consumption? In the refrigerator or out in an egg basket at room temperature?

We are going away over the silly season for 4 weeks and will be left with just over 2 trays of eggs. Will this go off if we leave it this long at room temp, or could we just leave it in the refrigerator? Taking into consideration that our average daily temperature are in the upper 30s currently.

Put them in the fridge then test them when you get home.

I store in fridge.. generally fridge stored eggs last longer than room stored. Since the eggs were already room stored, why not boil them and make snacks for trip? Then again likely you flying so uhm.. fridge and testing

I didnt tell you this but ....

When you get back, buy NEW eggs, replace them with the OLD eggs and return them for being vrot :D

It's a couple trays of eggs. Donate them to someone that can use em and buy fresh when you return?

Donate them to an animal shelter or feral feeder. Eggs are good for dogs and kitties as a treat. I grind the cooked eggshells into powder and mix in the feral food (good source of calcium)
