How to trick the Apple App Store

All works well. Changed my existing account location to Kenya. Got angry birds for $0.99 though :)

Can you tell me which account you're referring to? https://us.etrade.com/e/t/welcome/openanaccount/allaccounts because all the ones that I think might be what you describe all say "Only U.S. residents with valid Social Security numbers may apply on"

Or perhaps things have changed in five years?

It's true, I courriered a $1000 draft over to them when I opened mine. Remember, the loophole is that they still want foreign investors, so you will not get by with a $20 account
 
"Tricking" the store by providing fraudulent address details is almost certainly illegal.

If Apple don't want to sell me products, I don't want to buy them. They've clearly made zero effort whatsoever to do anything other than 'skim the South African market' by allowing one monopoly distributor to rape us for years price-wise, they've made no effort to allow SA credit cards to be used, they really don't care about our business, just about ripping off a few suckers with more money than sense. Among the big tech companies they've done the least in South Africa. Microsoft have always had a significant presence here. Google has made quite some effort, providing Maps, Street View, Akamai-based distribution for speed, Google Translate in African Languages, and for products like AdSense even make payment in Rands. Apple? Almost nowhere to be seen, except at a small number of extremely overpriced outlets all forced to buy through Core "Rape-the-public's-ass" Group.
 
I have to agree - I have followed this thread and all the endless exploits these people have to put themselves through simply because they bought the wrong computer. Surely they can just return it for a better computer that does not require all these loopholes?
 
Sadly Kenya is no longer an option since 1 Jan 2013...
It now show "your creditcard is not valid for this country".

Meanwhile at the istore near you they have demo ipads running angry birds, cut the rope and many other apps YOU CANNOT THE F*** GET FROM THE RSA store!
The friendly istore emplyees will tell you "Sir you just install itunes and you good to go!" conveniently and fraudulently omitting the fact that you cant buy apps on the RSA store.
Ok ok +1 we have music now, yet when i bought my iphone the friendly chap said itunes will change my life. He lied.

It's not Apple. It's the SA government. Furthermore, Apple is all about making money. Do you really think they would purposely skimp on an opportunity to make money?

Yeah, for some reason games have to be approved by the Films and Publications Board in South Africa.

We now have music and movies but no games...
