How to unlock Huawei E367?

ncabla is probably from overseas
My post was informative. Message: "Don't expect much on this forum on this question, as we do not need to deal with unlocking". Besides it was off topic.

If only locked via a network operator's dashboard, then flashing to an unbranded dashboard (like Mobile Partner) would allow you to use any network...
Technically it is not locking. You can exit application @anytime and use your own dialer, just make sure to remove it from system tray. There are options in the software settings to (a) not load at startup and (b) to remove to from system tray on exit.

How does locking work?

It is part of GSM standard. Any device can be locked, there is SP lock, network lock, SIM lock. Such locked device can not be used in other environment, unless provided with unlocking code. SIM lock is the most restrictive, device can be used only with particular SIM. Is seems SA users forgotten how it works, hehe...

1. Network Lock ensures only the 'locked' networks SIM can be used.
2. Subset Lock used with above and locks a sub-provider's SIM (for example a Virgin SA SIM to Cell C as the main network)
3. Service Provider Lock locks the handset to accept a SIM supplied by one particular company.
4. SIM Lock this locks the handset to a range of SIM's so you can say, put a contract SIM in a pre-pay handset.
5. Corporate Lock this permits the handset to accept SIM's allocated to a corporate body (i.e. company phone).

There are two further locks which are seldom used, in fact both have effectively been replaced by SIM card configuration.

Luckily we have none of these in South Africa unless you have a very old handset!!
