How would you reduce telecoms prices?

Do you support the PCC’s proposal to cut interconnect rates?

well definitely LLU. But i would love to see the line rental from Telkom dropped. Local bandwidth should be uncapped and free of charge.

I agree

Do you have any evidence to back your claim?

The gov is stupid if they don't realise that massive economic benefits of cheap broadband. In fact, one of the quickest way to solve poverty is through the internet. You should see the amazing things happening in India because of cheap internet.

Oh, and that is my and your tax money too. We can't spend everything on AIDS medicine and handouts for poor people. I want value for my tax rand.

I agree India is a prime example ..............................

I'm not sure there is any possible way that anything we say can/will be taken seriously. Just think back to the previous hearings where even RPM made our point. What came of it? Anyone?

I don't know...I watched ICASA get a grilling in parliament yesterday.

The buck will get passed untill it can be passed no further...then the heads will roll and prices will be forced down in many ways...Infraco, new cables, Neotel reaching more people...

Two years from now, we won't believe the hell we went through...

We can push and pull the solution forward bit by bit or sit back and relax. The end result will be the same, in roughly the same time.

With ICASA were talking about geological time and not real time.

Just thought of another thing now (and hope it is not too late)...

Force Telkom and TelkomInternet to be two totally separate companies.
