Perhaps, but the older you get the less difference the gap makes. And there is a world of difference between 14 and 17.
Not according to this:
You cannot put an age on maturity (physical and mental) as the law attempts to do, since we mature at different rates based on various factors.
She may very well be too young for him, she may not be. Who the heck are some random internet warriors, who don't know her or him from a bar of soap, to judge their ability to think?
For all we know she was very mature for her age
