How2 get data off a 2.5" notebook/laptop HDD using a normal PC

@ic - you can always go to most computer shops - even makro - and buy yourself a external case for yourself then you can use it for whatever you want after you're done.

The adapter that you're looking for is pretty cheap here in PE - if they sell em here they'll sell them anywhere

Yea, get an external 2.5" enclosure. I have one, cost me R180 and it works off USB power too. You just slide your HD in there, plug it into any USB port.

Very very useful for all kinds of storage, not even using my flashdisks anymore. I got a 80GB drive in there never had any problems.

ic, yeah ... go for the external enclosure. when my notebook crashed, I got one + a new HDD, and it works like a charm.
