I've had the chance to see if it works, and it is really easy to setup.

You'll need :

1. A Smoothwall box with two NIC's

2. A working GWI link (obviously)

Open the router's settings page in your web browser, and change it to bridged. Ignore all other settings.

Connect the router to your Smoothwall's RED port. Set the RED NIC up for PPPoE. Go to the Networking - PPP settings page on your Smoothwall, and create a new PPPoE entry. You'll only need to add your username/password and enable the persistent connection and reconnect after reboot boxes.

For me it worked straight out of the box.

You'll also need to change your MTU's size from 1500 to 1480, the thread on how to change it is :

NOTE : I'm having issues with the MTU settings on Smoothwall because I'm running the SuperKernel Smoothwall, and have no idea whether a stock Smoothie will work.

Because I'm obviously dumb today ...

GWI?

I'm guessing something Wireless Internet, but google suggests "Get With It" (urbandictionary) or Groin Wound Infection.
