HP Pavilion DV6000 notebook problems

Howzit

I have a dv6000 notebook, now i uninstalled vista cause i personally dont like it and installed XP. Theres a problem now, i went to HP's website to download the drivers but i get them and none of them are compatible with the laptop, i downloaded the chipset + network drivers and VGA drivers and they both say its not compatable. Any help would be appreciated

If you download the specific drivers for your hardware, they should work. i.e. if you have 965 chipset, download the corresponding 965 chipset driver, etc
 
Ya thats what i thought aswell but the official HP drivers dont work. Thanks though i will carry on trying and searching
 
What hardware is in your notebook, and can you provide a link to the drivers you tried?
 
Hey, well i spoke HP technician.. they sent me drivers via email but still quite useless. I did however use a program called cpuz which gave me the specs of the motherboard model, gfx model so thats sorted out. busy downloading the little things at the moment (touch pad, quick launch buttons etc.) heres a list of the drivers:

its a 8400M go. Got the drivers for that so its kewl. I think i have everything working now.
