HP Probook 6540b Laptop External Sound Output

I have just upgraded our office laptop from Windows 7 (Pre-Service Pack 1) to Windows 10 32bit. Reason was that with Windows 7, connecting with a Displayport to HDMI cable to our Hisense Smart TV, display quality was excellent but no sound was put out to the tv. Therefore, feeling that it was a Windows issue, I upgraded to Windows 10 to make sure of a proper handshake between Probook and TV, but now I'm still not getting any sound output to the TV. I tested the same setup with the same cable but using another (not HP) laptop and sound production through the tv speakers was excellent, so I know that it is neither the TV nor the cable that is malfunctioning. What's up??

The Displayport is selected as an active audio output in your Control Panel - Sound - Playback settings?

Go to Device Manager and follow post from grendel:

It works the same on Windows 7, it is a time to downgrade.
