HP ProLiant MicroServer

Why limit people though? I never understood this "rule".

Isn't your whole business about exchanging products for money, supplying other people with things in which they can then markup and distribute further?
I mean, isn't this a bad sign to people who are interested in using your company as their main hardware distributor?

It's not like the person is going to keep all 30 units to himself anyway, and even if he did for some odd reason, what does it matter...

I dunno, maybe i'm just stupid here but If some people want 20-30 units that just means you have a great market for this product, and should rather focus on supplying MORE of these units, instead of LIMITING the buying of the unit itself.

I think they can't match that price again and he wants as many MBB members to benefit from it as possible.

@Esquire - Am I supposed to get a confirmation email after my account registration last night? You mentioned the database run this morning but I haven't received logins to be able to access the online shop.

don’t you think it is unfair

sure, but i'm thinking of this from a different perspective.

What if you wanted to import 500 LCDs intended for resale, and samsung said "sorry, you can't have that many all to yourself.....only 5 allowed per client."
Are you honestly telling me you would say "oh well, they just want to be fair"

No...you would say samsung is worthless as a distributor.

I think giving everyone a "fair chance" sounds like a good idea, i'm just not sure if it's a good thing when you are a primary importer to many other businesses.

@GrootBaas-MYBB I can see that your account is opened , check your email and even your junk mail folder for the email from [email protected] on the details of your account.

Cool thanks. It's not in my outlook junk mail but I will look log in to gmail and have a look there as well.

Just spoke with Allison and placed my order. Very friendly and effective service. My first experience so far with Esquire is going great!

Any idea when Durban will receive the N40L because they don't seem to know at Durban branch ?

You guys do realize the PSU is only 150WATT and from what I can see the minimum recommend PSU for a GT520 is 300WATT :)

The GT520 has a TDP of 29watts (the PCI-E port only supplies 25watts but it works fine)
the n40l TDP is 25watts the n36l 15watts
all in all there's still plenty of power to go around...
Heck you can add 6 drives and whatever you want in the PCI-e 1x port and then you'd probably still be ok if you staggered the spin-up of the drives

They're not the primary importer for the Microservers... They sourced them locally.

Read what I said properly - I didn't say they are the primary importer of HP servers, I said they are a primary importer/distributor to many businesses.

My question was if SamsungSA (or whoever) said they will only sell 5 LCD's to Esquire, to be "fair"..... would Esquire think that sounds a-ok?

i'm not a business expert but limiting sales artificially just seems a little opposite to the idea of a "giant distributor".

i'm also not attacking Esquire at all - I love them! I Just think they are doing something wrong if they can't supply a demand.
Their mission statement contains the words "ensuring high levels of availability" for crying out loud.

just sayin', sorry for going off topic.

While I would agree with you if this was just another product, Esquire had gotten these at the specific request of people here and for people here.
I'm a little annoyed that I probably wont be getting one next week for my own use when people are buying these things up at 30 odd units per pop at this awesome price to resell.

I got my sales order and finished my EFT now but will wait for a call next week to pickup, you should receive the same now :).
I will go pay in the morning . I have had one already for a month running WHS ,this one i will build a POS with it , i need a decent cash control system that does stock to.

Don't panic, prices have gone from R1199 to over R3600 in a single step before (a few months ago), and went back to +- R1200 soon after.

if you go to any shop and they say "we are out of stock" or "we can only sell you 5", they are doing something wrong..... especially if they are the "giant warehouse" type.

I guess what i'm trying to say here is: "Get more ProLiant's, Esquire....we don't want "No" for an answer."

Hi Esquire... hoping to grab a microserver too - please check on my account activation as well - thanks.

I wish I can get more at that price no one is prepared to give us any more stocks even at the price of R1149excl vat that we are selling, One other supplier has stocks and not willing to part with them at less than R2399.00 for 100 unit plus units even after we showed them how much we paid.

anyways I think I am abusing this thread as it was suppose to be for HP ProLiant MicroServer's and not sales talk
PM me if I can help with anything else

Dont see why so much fuss when it's a happy meal more at cybernatic...
