Posted in the xbmc thread as well but I know most of you guys lurk in here.
Need some help from the xbmc Anime fans please. I have managed to add some of my anime to xbmc using the special play lists etc but I still find some of them won't play. Now I am led to believe that this possibly has to do with 10bit encoding done for some shows. I have tried one or two guides but I still can't play some of the files it seems. Most of these guides are old and I have read thats some of the later builds of xbmc support 10bit playback natively. Is this the case?
Any recommendations on fixing the issues ..?

Convert the videos?
That would not be advised nor really practically feasible.

Which version of XBMC, do they play using another program?

Same here. If i transfer files it's mostly 10-20mb/s.
They easily run on MPC with CCCP(codecs pack) installed. Currently I've installed frodo12.2 with ds player. (basically used this guide-- http://www.animepassion.net/topic/710-guide-to-making-xbmc-into-an-anime-powerhouse/ )

Why?
Do you feel like converting every single episode for all your series and movies...? I'm not talking one or two movies here and the fact that every single time I download a 10bit encoded anime episode/movie I have to convert it. I like to work smart, not hard.

I get 70 megabytes per sec with openelec... So it ain't the hardware

No its ongoing as well. If it was once off then maybe but like I said it would just requite too much ongoing effort.

I have purchased a Microserver for a client to put all his old hard drives in for storage. At the moment it is running Windows Home Server 2011, however he is having issues locating his files as the drives are not pooled together. Is there a free option to pool all the drives together as one? Alternatively, are there any suggestions for making it easier to read/write over the network?
Why not create a share for each drive and then map the drive on his workstations. I have done this on my media server and each of the 3 drives is shared as SERIES, MOVIES, OTHER respectively.

Doesn't Home Server have that functionality to pool all the drives as one? Although if one drive fails your screwed and they should all be the same size.
