HP ProLiant MicroServer

I'd lock that Harmony in the safe - they're rarer than hen's teeth!

As for spares - those HD caddies - how much?

It definitely is the best remote I've ever used but it does require quite a bit of tinkering to really get the best use out of it. The main purpose was for controlling xbmc and now I've switched to plex and roku, hence not using the remote solution or the graphics card. Besides putting the tv on I just use the roku remote.

Just to let you know that the stock code on that website is incorrect the unit is not a Gen8 as stated it is the standard HP ProLiant N54L with the 250gb HDD which currently extremely scarce we currently have a backorder of 1000 units that cannot be supplied

Hi Esquire,

Thanks for this. Have emailed WebDirect to confirm, if this is the case, order will be cancelled.

Thanks again :)

If they confirm that it is the Gen8 at that price order for me a 200 units but it must be the Gen8 not the N54L:D

Will do :) Only reason I place the order is because of the price, the Gen8 is normally 4-6K here in SA (atleast the ones I have seen are) :)

anybody know where I can buy the hard drive caddys for a n36/40/54L?

Has anyone in South Africa found a replacement PSU for the microserver?

From experience I know how difficult it is to find a 1U PSU and if you do the price will most likely be more than the server itself.

If mine ever goes, I will somehow connect a desktop PSU externally next to the unit :erm:

The psu should be simple to repair though so rather try having it fixed than buying a new unit.

Yeah, but on the off chance that its irreparable then at least having a spare around would b handy.
