just spoke to our drivers that are at the bonded warehouse they have already loaded just busy signing off documents and will be here in about 25 minutes , so the stocks will be here if you want to collect today or it will be in stock on Saturday morning – Midrand Only

Seeing how these servers sold out so quicky I would assume that many of you would have a server already. So if you already have a microserver what are your plans with the one you purchased on the Esquire special? I am keeping mine for spare parts incase there is an issue with the one I have currently... that is unless I come up with another use for it other than a NAS.

Replacing my current one. my current one's nic is faulty.
 
hi all; I have ordered one of these Microsrevers for work to use as a file server for 4 users and to host a mysql database.

I would like to mirror the user data with raid 1 on 2 X 4th drives

questions:
1. what os do I use; windows server product or Linux.
2. How much memory should I add to this server for 4 users.
3. any other general advice will be highly appreciated.

Wierd! Their advert definitely stated that all 3 deals include a 250GB Sata

I am only getting my server later this week when it gets to PE so I will only be able to check then. Let us know what Esquire says.

Mine was also missing the 250g HDD. It did however come with 4gigs of RAM instead of the advertised 2. Also waiting on a response from Esquire.
 
Mine also did not have the HDD, came with 4gigs of ram..... wonder what happened??
 
Is there a market for the plastic drive holders that come inside these servers? I remember someone here was looking to buy some. What is their correct name and what is fair market value?
