N36L PSU saw it's arse, anyone recently managed to get a decently priced option locally?
I will ghetto a normal PC power supply hanging out the back until I can get it repaired / replaced

Got one and a slightly rusted mobo :p if you want it, just pay for shipping. It's the 150 watt if I'm not mistaken.

If the mobo is in working condition I would be happy to take it off you.

Having lived in Durban I am used to rust ... :)

I'm getting an entertainment stand delivered tomorrow and I've specced the the bottom shelf to be 25cm (the red arrows) for some other equipment going to be there in it. I've also requested no backboard and one long single shelf (for heat).

I notice the HP Gen 8 will juuust fit there with 1 or 2 cm to spare at the top.

Would I have any issue with heat?
What if I placed it towards the rear with no backboard?
USB fans perhaps?

Sure that will be fine with no backboard. Bulk of heat escapes from the back.

Well didn't quite work because, although the shelf is 25cm, there's a little lip for strength - so couldn't hide the HP where I wanted to initially :/

But I got this side table at the time which juuust fits the unit in and nicely hidden too. Sits in the corner and cables are neat behind it .

Well that works. What if you placed it on it's side in the cupboard ?

I didn't try - this thing is essentially a cube though, so will be super tight.

Oh maybe they changed the chassis for Gen8

Dimensions (H x W x D) (with feet) 23.24x 23 x 24.5 cm

Ah ok. Makes sense. Well you found it a nice place. You could even cover the front of that side table with something spunky :)
