HP ProLiant MicroServer

Ah, cool. that clears it up.
I still wonder why the back of my IR Receiver has TWO usb inputs though?

Anyway, im not sure I wanna do that at the moment, but might in future...

PS GUYS: There is a USB Port INSIDE the HP ProLiant, right below the first Hard Drive Bay - I intend to us that one for now, so no ugly cables seen from outside going back inside =)
I'll probably break the receiver open when I install it inside, so its easier to fit. (it has no screws)

I take it I can install 6 drives into this baby using SATA connections (4 + 1 SATA on mobo + 1 ESATA converted to SATA) for up to 12TB
I can then also install additional drives through the USB Ports...

How much Drives will the HP's Power supply be able to handle?

Any chance you can upload a picture of the receiver? I'd like to get one as well, but have little space left in my HP MS.

Also, does the receiver work with your logitech remote? What settings did you have to setup on yoyour remote for XBMC/OpenELEC?

I don't have the logitech remote yet, but it should work.

(the receiver is as long as a Bic lighter, in a rough shape of an egg.....the actual hardware should be a lot smaller though if we break it open)

Can anyone direct me to where I can pick up a microserver new for 1200 or less? Or are they all gone :(

I've coded a small utility that will check which of your Video's doesn't contain a NFO File
(If you are like me, you probably export your library to seperate NFO files so if you remove and re-add sources it doesn't have to download Covers and Information from the internet AGAIN)

The utility will basically tell you what videos are probably NOT in your Library

If you are interested, you can download it from this thread

TVRename does a really good job with renaming files as well as getting XBMC support files

HP require me to be an employee of M2MBrand? Found another way to get it but don't want to risk this way....

well i work for investec and I'm not an employee of M2M brand; over 10 units were purchased at work....
try and buy it....whats the worst that can happen?

I would love a MicroServer as a fully automated HTPC, just finished setting up my Netbook as one, it runs OSX with SABnzbd+ using Sickbeard and CoachPotato, you wake up and everything is just there.

You lucky enough to have a Microserver should check this guide:
Internet PVR with SABnzbd+ and SickBeard

I Made an icon for you guys who have mounted the Hp's Samba shares or what have you, and want a nice icon for your desktop.
