Hi Guys

we looking for a tablet for my lb turning 4 in feb... he normally uses our ipads, but i want to get him something smaller where he can play games galore and watch youtube...

my wifes company is having a sale and offering the hp steam 8 at R1200... i read up on it, and it seems to be quiet nice for an entry level/budget tablet... but i dont want to get something i'll have issues with after a few weeks... also, for games and stuff, where can i download them on for this tablet? BTW, i understand it comes with windows os.

thanks

Windows is bad. Windows on a tablet would be super bad.

Seriously though, Android or iOS would be the way to go.

I've heard its pretty reliable. Games and apps you can get on the Windows Store and wherever else you want because it runs windows. You'd do good to update it to windows 10 though.

Very bad on you data. When doing automatic updates it can cost you 10GB of data or more, as Windows Update is frequently crashing and keep re-downloading already downloaded file, which can be as large as 4GB. You cannot disable automatic updates.

thanks for the feedback...

re the data im not too worried as it will be updating at home on an uncapped account, think i'll grab it, as its quiet cheap...

but if anyone has anything else to add, please feel free... are the games in the windows store expensive though?

Look no further than the Hisense Sero 8 Pro for R1300 from HIFI Corp. The display and build quality is absolutely gorgeous.
