:confused:I noticed that Vodacom mentioned HSDPA 7.2 being available on page 18 of the Autumn Vodaworld magazine, as well as displaying HSDPA 7.2 in the image of the latest news flash re connectivity problems.
Is this a teaser or are they now trying to play catch up to Telkom? I regularly get d/l speeds in excess of 3.8mb/s on Telkom 3G/HSDPA.
Come on VC, match your soon to be ex partner on speed and price.(No two tier pricing system)
In the mean time a large number of your data users must be looking over the fence, like me.
How about rewarding all your loyal data customers for their long and patient wait for a better deal. (maybe the first ISP to offer data rollover.);)

the MTN Network offers data rollover already, don't they? so they were there first....

Never hear of that from MTN itself thou myadsl had a post on a company(adsl & hsdpa package) re-selling HSDPA...far as I know MTN makes users pay an OOB rate once their capping is finished until the 30 days are over..hence Vodacom allows users to load DB right after the last mb:rolleyes:

I'd ask the easter bunny ;)

I think Vodacom is gonna give us a few really nice and pleasant surprises in 2009.

Now if I could hypnotize V3G and get all the breaking news first. lol

You can't say that I do not observe. And by the way I read your mag front to back.(Already have had one apology for an incorrect editorial)
Considering sending in a complaint about this as well if not confirmed soon.
Does VC want to entrench the relationships with their data customers.
Then like Nike "Just Do It"

If I supplied bandwidth i'd take a small loss and cut prices NOW, and get as much people on board BEFORE Seacom lands. it will be much better for them in the long run.

Dont be crazy.... which company in SA actually thinks about these things?

Waiting for that first move!!!

I don't know if it would be significant though, but consumer expectations must count for something. Especially when there is talk of and hype around an expected major price cut it broadband telecoms in the near future. Guess maybe Vodacom expects that if they lower prices now, then later their customers will demand further price decreases when all other providers are decreasing prices.

I think we all want the data bundles to be cheaper and data rollover or unused data....and I'm also sure V3G is trying to push it past the big company bosses.
