Anyone else experiencing this?

Lately ive been picking up HSDPA on my card in plumstead :D . Thought it was kinda weird so i checked the coverage on mtn's website and it still only shows coverage in the CBD and close surrounding areas.

Does anyone else pick up HSDPA outside this perimeter. Thought it was maybe the antennae i got but the supplier specifically said it enhances signal quality and not coverage! Thought some would like to know

There have been major upgrades to the MTN network in the Cape Town area since October 2006. I think the guys in charge of the coverage map just haven't been able to catch up.

What Antenna are you using the normal external antenna or a Yagi?

If you using a Yagi it gives you a 11db gain in signal which does help with coverage as it will pick HSDPA off a tower somewhere in the surrounding area's like me for example without the YAGI I get zip, nada when I have the Yagi in I get one bar HSDPA which isn't great but I can live with it :)
