HTC DESIRE HD

Wonder if it's just the default brightness that you need to change?

Much like my iPhone, slide it up till where you're happy, then put it on auto brightness.

Mmm, not a very bright user, oops, I mean handset ;)

Sigh ... MTN still in the dark, sometimes i really wonder when they gonna get their heads
our of there *^U^%es and put it to good use and actually achieve something worth while.

+1

I phoned my local MTN shop again yesterday and told the dude that I will come and camp out in the shop this Saturday if I don't get my Desire HD very soon!

How does MTN expect to make a comeback in South Africa when they keep giving crap service to customers?

LoL i haven tried the camp thing yet ... but maybe i should, so far with the weekly visits i've acctually applied online for upgrades
with MTNSP 2ce and got callbacks both times but was told i would be notified as soon as stock is available and my upgrade
would go through ... no reply since and all the ppl at canal walk can do is say errrr that phone hasnt arrived yet sorry.

EDIT: PS the last upgrade i did online was on monday and got the call back on tue!

They DON'T CARE. Simple as that. This is the very reason that I'm keen to move away from them. Another 2 years of worrying how much they have over-billed you this month is enough. New phones makes us desparate, but the though of sorting out hassles with them quickly makes me develop more patience.

see now that feeling i know as well, i keep thinking this time im gonna kill my contract and let it expire but then i worry
if they will keep charging me even after the contract is over and i have told them 2 terminate 2 months in advance,
which is what happend with my wifes contract which i promptly moved over to vodacom and shes all smiles!!!

You're making me worry now.....my contract with MTN expires this month, so maybe I should just cancel it & use CellC as my backup? (My main contract is with Vodacom).

I haven't had a landline since 2004, cos the MTN 100 contract costs me R100 a month & you get R100 worth of airtime + 25 sms'es, while Telkom charges you R103 a month just to have a Telkom phone.

well if u wanna kill ur contract with MTN u need 2 send them a fax a month in adv and hope they dont loose it when
it comes time 2 stop the contract

Yes, you are right.

But I'll go the the local MTN shop and do it there, then get a copy of the signed cancellation form, I know MTN's fax machines are always out of order. :)

Leaving MTN shouldn't be a consideration - it should be a standard. :p

Once its available on VC - I'll go through the schlep of applying for a contract.

Wow ... it is cheaper to get a contract with a Desire HD than a Desire

thats why its a steal!

PS. good thing its in a catalogue now. maybe the MTN employees wont be so naive and realise that the Desire and the Desire HD are different phones.

I am comparing the Experia X10, iPhone4 and DesireHD. I would like to know whether the Desire HD have a scratch resistant surface. Thanks

After some serious deliberation and almost falling for the gulag of apple, I have decided to go with the DHD, now if only MTN and LEAF can get the damn handset out!:wtf:
