I don't follow? I can duplicate the one image 6 times, so that I have 7 of the same images, then it's just a matter of stitching them next to each other in Photoshop etc. The size might be too large though.

The background doesn't scroll the width of one screen. The areas each screen occupies overlaps. Just try Launcher Pro and set the background to fixed.
1 image at 800 x 480. 7 of the same image 3360 x 800. Maybe its too early for me to be thinking but i am not sure it would work. Each home screen does not have a full 800 x 480 image.

The wallpaper isn't shifted the full width across when you switch to another screen, it only shifts a bit (which is dependent on how many screens you run). For example, I only have three screens, so my wallpaper is basically shifted HALF the width of my screen across. If I were running more screens, it would shift less. With a few minutes and some boredom you could work out exactly how many pixels it shifts, but I don't care enough to do that
Lol i know that, thats why i say each homescreen does not have a full 800 x 480 image dedicated to it.

Launcher Pro 0.7, I can't change my custom wallpapers, I can only select wallpaper in wallpaper gallery, but not in the media gallery (I have a folder on SD card called wallpaper). None of those wallpaper can be changed in Launcher Pro, although it displayed it has been set but it just won't change.
